While documenting the lifestyle of "hijra" community and their changing role, the study emphasizes in relating "hijras" health problems in their socio-cultural context. The study takes an effort to present the dynamics of the health issues and its varied dimensions with an aim to contribute to draft more effective health policies and programmes to alleviate the community from isolation and enabling health facilities. The study will also attempt to voice specific health issues emerged from the study for further research study, which can be undertaken on bigger sample on this community. [Author, p. 21]
